Eleven Basque companies, coordinated by the Basque Maritime Forum, were at this international fair that embraces practically all fields of the maritime sector: maritime transport, offshore, river shipping, dredging and shipbuilding, fishery and superyachts.
The fair is held in Rotterdam every two years. It was the 41st Europort this year (7-10 November) and attracted 1,100 exhibitors from 40 countries and 30,000 visitors from 84 countries.
The participating companies were Alconza, Murueta Shipyard, Zamakona Shipyard, Bombas Azcue, Centricast, Eremu, Industrias Ferri, GHENOVA, GLUAL, Grupo Arbulu, Ingeteam, Obeki, Ormazabal, Skandiaverken, Técnicas Hidráulicas, TRAFAG, Vicinay Marine, Xubi, and the Basque Maritime Forum, whose stand represented the Basque maritime sector as a whole.
During the Fair, interviews were held with the main international stakeholders at the event and were the opportunity to showcase what the Basque maritime sector can offer.
On Thursday 9 November, the BMF attended the meeting of the Board of Directors of Sea Europe, the European Shipbuilding and Maritime Equipment Association of which BMF is an associate member. Different topics affecting European policies for the maritime industry were then discussed.
