What we do

Sustainability and Environmental Transition

Reducing emissions into the atmosphere and to the marine environment and conserving the sea's resources are a challenge for the industry.

Harnessing the opportunities of the “green transition” towards maritime decarbonisation and energy efficiency, and deploying renewable marine energies must be a hallmark of the sector and key to its future competitiveness.

Objectives:

01. Monitor the development of environmental legislation and support companies in the adaptation to the new standards and certifications.

02. Support the industry to convert environmental requirements into opportunity.

03. Support R&D&I initiatives and develop environmentally sustainable products.

04. Facilitate access for Basque companies to R&D&I programmes.

05. Foster compliance of the sustainable development goals and the 2030 Agenda.
