Pasaiako Udala and Albaola organising PASAIA ITSAS FESTIBALA 2024, an international gathering of traditional heritage craft.

Pasaia Itsas Festibala is the leading cultural maritime event on the Basque Coast. This festival is held once every two years and is the opportunity to enjoy our extensive cultural and maritime heritage and a bay in constant development. Every two years, the festival provides a new perspective on Pasaia and our history.

For four days, Pasaia will become the showcase of our great heritage, thanks to the encounter with other maritime cultures, a myriad of traditional craft in the water and intense cultural activity on shore, including music, cuisine, craft, workshop and information events.

This year, the maritime culture guest of honour is Chile, more specifically the maritime culture of the Chiloé archipelago, which is known for its actions in recent years to restore and safeguard its maritime heritage, by reconstructing iconic traditional vessels.
