Digital Technological Transformation

The digital and technological transformation is a cornerstone to foster the competitiveness and innovation of the value chain of the maritime industry.

Adopting new 4.0 technologies and digital tools will allow the industry to build and operate safer vessels and port and offshore infrastructures, that are less polluting, more energy efficient, better connected and more automated.

Objectives:

01. Boost the digital transition and the implementation of 4.0 technologies in the sector.

02. Coordinate the development and roll out of the sectoral technological agenda.

03. Facilitate participation in programmes to support technological development and investment.

Basque Maritime Forum
Technological Agenda

The strategic planning instrument developed by the Forum's partner companies .

Using the information available from BMF and the sector, the main themes in the market/business layer are identified and which will be the basis for the agenda.

Projects

Developing new systems and models to monitor and control stability in the operations of the vessels.
TECNOMAR 4.0 is a project focused on studying the digital and technological transformation of the SMEs of the maritime sector.
The WIND2GRID project seeks to drive research and developing collaborative and integrated technologies, components and systems for offshore substations with new features, around the developing of floating substations.
